Project 4 Awesome is live! The best livestream you'll watch all year because of the shenanigans and also the crazy amount of money raised for charities voted on by the community.
Check out all the videos of different charities at the link. #P4A

4am fire alarms suck, but I think this was a record time for fastest to turn off the alarm and let us go back inside.

Best part of the opening ceremony was the pause for the appreciation of astronomy. Especially the inclusion of an Italian astronaut. I think more Olympics should have a scene dedicated to space.
I might be biased.

So far Gladlands hadn't been resonating with me as much as other D20 seasons, but @vicmmic.bsky.social absolutely made me cry with tonight's episode. The funeral scene was so heartfelt and moving. Thank you for telling stories.

I keep hoping to see some aurora, but it is in the direction of the poorly aimed floodlights. Is it bad to keep my fingers crossed for a random power outage?

Hard to tell, but I think I saw Saturn from the plane. Absolutely saw the dippers out my window crystal clear most of the flight.

I think this might've been my most successful AAS meeting. Maybe tied with the one where I gave my dissertation talk. I spoke with lots of people, some of whom might be future employers, and made some new friends. For the most part, I even managed my time well and am not too exhausted. Yay! #AAS247

It feels so good to be on the other end of a networking conversation and know a contact who might be beneficial for someone else to know. It doesn't always feel like I'm good at networking, but this is solid proof that I do in fact have a network of people.

My personal award for best plot today at #AAS247 goes to Michael Boylan-Kolchin for this plot of time vs stuff. More talks should have labels like this, especially for conference talks.
