Almost a year since my husband and I moved into his parents’ apartment (abandoned for almost 5 years) and I feel it is the best decision we ever made. Turning it into a habitable space, and which gradually has started to feel like home.

Left me aching..the raw pain the characters go through, watching their loved ones suffer the atrocities of war is unnerving. A war that knows no mercy, leaves no footprints of anything close to humane. I would definitely give it to Adichie for her exceptional and brilliant writing skills.
