Hands up if you think this is one of the best views in Shropshire! I’ve photographed Ludlow from Whitcliffe Common more times than I can remember, and I never get bored. It looks fantastic whatever the season, but the autumn colours this year make it extra special. #Shropshire

November 21st, 1974 two bombs devastated two Birmingham city pubs killing 21 civilians and wounding 182. While the Provisional IRA were blamed for the attack, and six innocent Irishmen were deliberately wrongfully convicted of the crimes, 51 years later, no one has been convicted of this attack.

I'm tired. We're all tired. This isn't hard to understand. You can't inflate prices of basic necessities like food and housing to ridiculous highs while keeping wages at poverty levels, then act surprised when luxury goods/services and large purchases become unattainable or payments unaffordable.

“In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a hobbit-hole, and that means comfort.” - J.R.R. Tolkien, #TheHobbit (Pub: 21 Sept 1937)

At Greggs in High Holborn there is - according to this eighteenth-century newspaper at least - 'as good CHOCOLATE as can be made in England.'

Well done Greggs!

(I have a family member who loves Greggs so much he tried to take his wife there on Valentine's Day.)

We went on a walk to Harbour Heights Nature Preserve. What a fascinating place! There are fears of development there (I would NOT buy a house on that geology!); the biodiversity is impressive. We saw swallows, lots of rabbit signs, a tumulus (Iron or Bronze Age?), and cliff views. #SussexCoast
