Alan Dershowitz is one of those claiming Epstein was not a pedophile because he pleaded guilty to one count of having sex for money with a 17-year-and-10-month-old person. "That’s not a pedophile." See this important response from Julia Brown, the brave reporter who broke the news on this

To be very clear, Virginia Giuffre was made to say she mistakenly identified Alan Dershowitz as one of the people who sexually abused her. Here is the proof from this week's Epstein files dropped by the House Oversight Committee.

Most rapists operate on the premise that they can not only overpower the victim physically, but can do so socially and legally. They count on a system that discounts the voices of victims and only too often cooperates in silencing them...
The Jeffrey Epstein cover-up is an affront to US democracy | Rebecca Solnit

This is what happened when AI acted as both author and reviewer - a study found AI peer-reviewers accepted fake AI-generated papers 4 out of 5 times. We need #PeerReview to be better, and human oversight is more vital than ever!

Brilliant quote by Ben Roberts on LinkedIn about using AI in grading papers:

"It’s getting a bit like a modern version of that famous Solzhenitsyn quote, but you replace ‘lying’ with ‘using AI’:

‘We know that they are using AI, they know that we are using AI, they even know that we know they […]

If you're having virtual sex with a chatbot that is a product of a corporation aren't you in some sense having sex with the corporation and giving it this tremendous hold on you/dependency on their protection of your privacy (but they know all your secrets). Who wants to have sex with OpenAI?

The CSU can no longer justify its status as the “largest AI-driven university system” while squeezing faculty, students, and staff (one of my colleagues who had been driven to despair & illness basically dropped dead over the summer, btw) to their absolute limits and even beyond.

It’s obvious that Open AI wants to replace the education sector. It cannot expect partnerships with public ed/govts while simultaneously promoting its involvement in the commercial sex industry. Taxpayers will raise hell. College students are adults. They are part of the sexting market.
