It sounds easy enough, but reality is a whole other can of worms: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TwPL...

Refusal will end in a tribunal and probably dishonourable discharge, so every one will have to decide what they value more.

I'm with you on the laundry, but I wouldn't trust it to do admin.
I want A.I. to do my admin and laundry while I write and illustrate books. I don't want A.I. to write and illustrate books while I do my admin and laundry.

British workers are all kinds of screwed, aren't they? Your pay may go up once every 5 years (if at all), you've got a massive asymmetry between employers and employees and the govt. is hell-bent on regulating what you can and can't spend your money on.

As much as I am a proponent of #Linux on the desktop, the recent data seems to indicate that even with the colossal f*up of MS we won't gain that much users.
Most seem to migrate to the Apple garden - dicouraging but unsurprising.

I find myself periodically returning to @alternativeto.net website to discover some new software - most recently @joplinapp.bsky.social.
It's not all OSS apps there, but it's certainly a valuable place to search for your program of choice and then discover potential alternatives to it!

It turns out that the folks at Anthropic used two of my books to train their Large Language Models. I've gone and submitted my claim via the class action settlement. If you're an author whose work has been stolen, you should too

#python #bokeh is a very cool #datavis tool.
It interfaces neatly with #xarray and allows for interactive visualisations of >10k particles.

It is a matter of taste.
I'm over 5 years vegan and I don't regret a moment of it. I do regret causing direct harm to animals with my choices.

I have no idea why it's so hard for some to make the connection between humans and animals. Humans are evolved animals, we don't need to exploit them, it's a choice.

Go vegan

This is a show of allegiance - or target acquisition, whichever you prefer.
This is absurd. Trump calls on Republicans to vote to released the Epstein files. He can just release them. The vote is to pressure him to do it. Instead of political machinations, if he thinks they should be released, he can text to Bondi and tell her to do it.

These are mac serial ports for printers. If anyone needs these for a repair or whatever pls ask, I specifically pulled them on the grounds I suspect their hard to find and a retro restore might be in need of them.

Ngl. this was a bit uplifting for me.

No matter how massive my "letting things go" issues are, I am not deprived enough to come up with this.

Italy has taken the lead on European transshipment of goods to Russia via Kyrgyzstan. Many Europeans have clamped down on the transshipment racket, foremost the UK, Scandinavia, the Baltics and Poland. The fact that this continues - at strength - is appalling. Putin and Xi obviously love this...
