In fact: The "post scarcity" that the western, rich countries feel mostly comes at the cost of the global majority. Colonialism always felt "post-scarcy". Because it forces the cost on "the other".

We bought into the "post scarcity" narrative because digital tech feels so magic and ethereal but we need to get back to an understanding of the material costs and effects of those systems. They are not very post-scarce in reality.

Argumentationen wie "Dank "KI" können die weniger Privilegierten jetzt auch schreiben und dichten" laufen darauf hinaus, die Bevölkerungsgruppen mit billigen Ersatz für Bildung, Kunst und Kultur abzuspeisen. "KI" verschafft Zugang zu Bildung genauso wie McDonald's Zugang zu Ernährung verschafft.

The consequences of the recent GEMA vs. OpenAI decision will be very interesting for "coding agents" and the sources they vomit out. Cause a lot of the code their developers accumulated is GPL-licensed.

Jedes Mal, wirklich jedes. einzelne. Mal wenn jemand von den Segnungen der AI schwärmt, der nicht eh wirtschaftlich drinhängt, stellt sich irgendwann raus, dass er/sie einfach auf den billigen Taschenspielertrick reinfiel, dass die Chatbots sich nett mit einem unterhalten und nix kritisieren.

No other word has done more damage to the craft of writing in recent years than “content”. Even if you’re using the word “content” ironically, or as a cute little joke, don’t. When someone calls writing “content” they’re pissing on someone’s hard work & passion. “Content” is Technosatan’s henchword.
