Still on sick leave. This is now the second time it has been extended...

I'm quite annoyed - it got worse. Maybe need to ask to check for Covid as usually a regular virus/bacterium does not have such a severe effect over a long time.

They've teamed up and stole approximately 85% of the bed.

My body: Why is everything awful, everything hurts, I can't sleep nor can I properly stay awake, not even my brain is working right*!

My brain: There's a reason you're on sick leave, idiot.

*When did it ever? Ha!

So now I've lost my voice.
How will I now be able to talk to the boys?! Or more importantly, scold them when they're up to cat shenanigans?

Murdering people who play loud music on the train when you're unwell is valid, right?

Somewhat annoyed because I finally earn enough for basic living, possible travels as well as transitioning (definitely going to be the most expensive out of these three even though I haven't calculated everything yet) but I don't have enough free time to get anything done.

Cutting my hair really was necessary...

Note to self: Never feed Philly with just shorts on.
He always stands up on the hind legs and put his paws on my legs. With the claws out.

The incoming car ruins this shot a bit but here's some atmospheric fog from this morning:

Today's work day is going to be fuelled by rage.

Beautiful moonrise today.
Edited the second picture a bit (reducing saturation as the moon appeared way too yellow and couldn't play around with the settings while photographing due to having to keep Philly from climbing out of the window).

Sometimes I wish I didn't know the context for these.
Also always worth reading the alt texts.

Yet another former teacher of mine here...
I hope they didn't recognise me.

Really don't want to go to work today.
I'm tired, everything hurts, the ward I'm on is not a favourite of mine (not talking about the coworkers, they're lovely) and I need a long rest.
November 3, 2025 at 7:01 AM
Just realised they ended up on the ward I'm going to be tomorrow.
I hate that.

Not because the patient was awful but there's always a risk of starting small talk.
Waiting for a patient to be transferred to another ward. I hope that either happens within the next 40min or much later (i.e. after the end of my shift). Otherwise I'll probably miss the train.

Another issue of sleeping that long is that I forgot to charge my phone overnight.
I hope it lasts long enough that I can call my grandmother after work.

I usually sleep around 4h and am totally fine with it (has been like that since childhood). Tonight I slept about 8.5h, feels very weird. How do normal people get anything done despite losing so much time per day?
October 31, 2025 at 5:27 AM
Wow.
10-10-8-8-9 hour shifts in the coming days.

You know, the people on fixed wards who work 10h have a 10-10-0-0-10-10 etc roster.
October 30, 2025 at 5:15 PM
The doctors haven't even started the round yet and I already heard about 5 patients leaving today
Ha. Ha.
Awake since 2 and today I have a 10h shift at the most stressful ward.
What could possibly go wrong?
October 30, 2025 at 6:46 AM
To the people coughing and sneezing on the train (or anywhere else, really): You know Covid is still a thing, right? Just had a patient in the ICU the day before yesterday.

And even if it's "just" the flu - I don't want that either. If you're sick and still going to work, wear a fucking mask!
