yay. I'm RIGHT NOW in Charlie's World writing the next exciting adventure. (Well, I've been doing a lot of cleaning instead of writing cos I was a bit stuck but @kats-garden.nz post has lifted me and my motivation to keep going.

I've enjoyed a few T. Kingfisher books this year, but there are a whole heap that Far North Libraries don't have.
I inhaled both Murderbot Diaries and @taniaroxborogh.bsky.social's Charlie Tangaroa books.
I've also discovered a bit of a love of Japanese and Korean fiction (English translations).

At the supermarket Friday, bumped into the sister of a friend (who also happens to be aunt and mother to kids I've taught). We chatted, holding up shoppers. (Soz)

If they can ban access to healthcare like puberty blockers for one group of people, they can do this with any healthcare for their next target. They will ban abortion again given the chance and they will come after contraception after that. The anti-choice movement is our govt right now. #nzpol

Southland is a wonderful place.
Also, fangirl moment: walked onto the plane te ata nei & heard two wāhine speaking te reo Māori. Saw that it was Hana O'R. I was brave and spoke to her (in reo Māori). She, as always, was warm/gracious.
Got to me seat & then did an inventory on all my errors.
