Graduate seminar did a deep dive on Thomas Paine’s Common Sense yesterday. At the line, “in America the law is king,” they (14 students from 6 countries) burst out laughing. I've been doing this for 35 years and this is the first time that was a laugh line.

The 2nd #NoKings event today was next to an assisted living facility. A number of the residents came out in wheelchairs and walkers and holding the signs that they’d made themselves. One man, easily in his 80s, wore a suit and tie. Tell me again about how much these violent criminals hate America
