I was absolutely procrastinating doing this this year. My ability to make art fell off a cliff in August and I've been self-conscious as hell ever since.
Still, this was encouraging. I can say that what I did make, I really, ~really~ liked.

I don’t know why I keep forgetting how to sleep. I thought I had it figured out and amassed a toolkit full of effective ways and means to aid my relaxation quest, but no. It’s happening again.
At least I’m calm about it this time.

48 hours of insomnia later (again - third week in a row with a no sleep phase 😵💫) but it came with a gift: abruptly hallucinated a slew of profound thematic scenes for my story, including a bucketful of political subtext that I hadn’t thought of but which made me go OHHHH HOLY SHIT…

Haha and now I have friends in my lil Discord server clamouring for me to turn Heinrich into the biggest tikedi the universe has ever seen. They average out at 4’ but he’s well over 6’ as a human.
I’m kinda here for it. Let’s see if I can manage to make him fluffy and not lose his sharp edge.

Yes, I’d probably make more art, but not because I’d quit work. I like going out to do something.
But maybe I’d work less, or at least I’d be free & able to find a job that works for me & doesn’t actively make my health worse by constantly keeping me at high stress levels. That takes a toll.

Braved the mall yesterday (it’s nothing - all the malls here are normal ones; I used to live in Edmonton and “the mall” was West Ed 😬).
