the people at spindlehorse who worked on this scene did a great job because it lets Charlie be vulnerable. we see her not as a princess or a someone's lover, but a child still waiting for her mom to come back thx to her expressions, the dialogue, and Erika's performance

Man the speed at which Morgana recognizes, addresses, and resolves merch-related issues for Hellaverse stuff is so insanely commendable. I've never been in a fandom where issues like this get acknowledged and sorted so efficiently. Shout out to her and everyone else involved tbh!
Just note. Yes, YIKES mistake but NO this was not done in any way intentionally. Assets go thru a lot of changes before being finalized for the show and, in this case, an older asset was ACCIDENTALLY used by our merch partner. It’s being fixed and the adjusted item will be in the shop shortly.

In those cases, it sounds like something was intentionally done to do that. In this case, nothing was done to make that asset that was accidentally used. It was just an early production draft. Nobody went out of their way to lighten his skin for this merch item.

(FYI, I am NOT the head of merch for Hazbin Hotel. I just work heavily with all of the partners on creative strategy, product development, and marketing. There are MANY people involved in the merch. This is to all the people who are like “what single person do we immediately kill for this mistake”)
