Imagine how fun that would be. People poking round your shit. We all have such dumb shit, & it says way more about us than our family member who we didn’t like much, giving some tearful speech and ensuring the lasting imprint of your legacy is how they’ve chosen to describe you. Urgh! CAR BOOT SALE!

Today I watched a young couple hire a canoe. One of the people with them filmed and the other appeared to direct. They couldn’t have been out paddling for 10 minutes before they returned. Not an ounce of fun, all artificial… all for their socials.

More people need to be aware of the value of their pensions. If they did then they'd understand that incidents like Trump fucking up the stock market are not some abstract concept, and that their own actual money is suffering from zero or even negative growth.

I’ve just listened to Twat by Dr John Cooper Clarke. I think that is the poem to sum up the weekend.

Unbelievable. Donald Trump has been invited to a state visit to the UK. We should not be rolling out the red carpet to celebrate this man. Agree? Add your name to the petition today: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/no...
No second state visit for Trump
This is UNBELIEVABLE. Keir Starmer has just handed Donald Trump a letter from King Charles, inviting him for a second state visit to the UK. It’s totally unprecedented, and I was so outraged when I he...

I loved early Twitter after being introduced by @david-t-evans.bsky.social . I went to Mastadon when things turned nasty. It wasn’t the same. I’ve moved to Bluesky and here you all are! Looking forward to hearing about comedy, health, politics and general nonsense.

It’s fantastic & a little surreal going to my newsfeed on @bsky.app and seeing posts from all the people I’ve followed for years on Twitter/X which have oddly been missing from my newsfeed on X for the past 18 months. This is going to be an amazing platform👏

All gigs should finish by 10pm - people can either get home at a decent hour or go and have a drink afterwards to discuss it and not have to rush off to get public transport.

The average person can't decide which is the best charity to support. Best thing to do is for everyone to give the government £50 extra a year in taxes and let them consider and properly invest in the most deserving causes. No need for sponsorships, shaved heads, and bakes offs.
