A lot of folks are waiting for someone/thing to save them or tell them what to do. People don't realize you can start a protest, make your own fliers, practice mutual aid, write a newsletter. You don't need permission. You can be creative. You don't have to do things how they've always been done.

「セッション」いいよねで同意した友人とウェス・アンダーソンがどんどんつまらなくなって行くという話で盛り上がったことあるが、それも、映画に何を求めるかが似ていたのかな。ダージリン急行くらいで、どうでも良くなったということで一致した。

自分は面白いと思い、評価の差の原因を放置していたが、楽器の演奏者の知り合いが、「自分の学生生活、あんな感じだったので見るの辛い」と教えてくれ、やはり、あの映画には、「リアリティ」があったのだと納得した。

Some of what Trump is attempting to do is unlawful, but some of his shadier maneuvers will likely be supported by the courts. SCOTUS is on his side. I don't say this to discourage people, but as a reminder that the law cannot be our bottom line. Our obligation is to each other, not the law.

Black Lives Matter fundamentally broke these people’s brains. They couldn’t bear the idea that they might have to tell a different story about this country and thus tell a different story about themselves. They hated it, and now they are using everything they have to never feel that way again.

anyway the whole scolding session around "this is how you need to feel on hearing this other person died" is extremely weird, like are you genuinely this online, because I refuse to believe you are acting like this in the real world

Historically speaking, pandemics are usually followed by periods of major political instability. While COVID isn't over, the leaders of nation states have attempted to restore the status quo in recent years. It hasn't gone well. Unfortunately, that instability has generally favored the right.

最近は、縁もあって、太極拳の修行を始めたが、今まで、体について、つまみ食いしてきたことが統合できる予感もあって、面白い。
印象だが、やはり、「武」という意識を持ったほうが上達早いのではないかと思う。
