Perhaps there should be a small fee for every time you post a screenshot on Bluesky of some bullshit happening on X. Like the original 10p carrier bag charge, it wouldn't be prohibitive but it would make you think, hang on, do I have to do this?

The cost goes from £6bill to £1bill to £570million in the course of the article
I’m in the process of writing a book chapter about the regulation of misinformation. One key part is the understanding that it’s not just about malicious trolls and hidden botnets: it’s about our ‘traditional’ media and our ‘mainstream’ politicians.

Today’s example.

If God hears their prayers, he also hears their lies
These ghouls want to have the right to harass women while obtaining crisis health care. Nobody is trying to prevent them having a religious service, which they could literally have had anywhere else but the place they chose.

Cardinal rule.

When complaining about infringements to freedom of speech, they always lie about what was said/written

Always. Everytime. No Exceptions.
Welcome to the UK where a right wing academic seeks to defend a man who wrote:

'Head for the hotels housing them and burn them to the ground.'

By describing that incitement as "anti immigration"

Don't buy The Sun
Harry Cole of Sun interviews Connor Tomlinson - who advocates banning ethnic minority MPs from parliament

Tomlinson regrets sacrificing Suella Braverman but feels sure (on no evidence) she would sacrifice herself to remove the risk of Kemi Badenoch, Rishi Sunak, Priti Patel & Shabana Mahmood!

It's downright embarassing how many of the British right wing rentagobs are Irish
Worse still the number from Derry.

There's a man should never again pay for a pint.
Video, I believe recorded off of local TV, of a bystander disarming one of the two killers.

Nah.
Fuck that.
The Queen paid off Andrew's victim and not a paper, not a journalist said a word until she was gone.
Moral triumph of the cowardly sort.
The British press is a bleak travesty but on of the very few moral triumphs they had was putting the boot into Prince Andrew for sex crimes-adjacency. Except now it turns out they all enthusiastically backed the fraudulent political project of another infamous friend of Jeffrey, for years.

Very much enjoying people dunking on things they think they've read in this article.
“Those of us on the left should be fighting to improve protections for workers of all races, and thereby for the betterment of people’s material conditions regardless of their views,” Arash Azizi argues:
Why the Cinnabon Story Doesn’t Make Me Happy
The left should be promoting working-class solidarity, not delighting in seeing workers summarily dismissed.

A fart while you're walking is a 'young' person thing
Imagine posing for a photographer friend who sells your image to iStock and a year later, you see this is what The Washington Post has done with the image of you walking on a beautiful fall day

You know, the parlimentary Labour Party may be correct that it's absolutely fine not to be for *these people*
Huge respect to the papers for finding both an 88 year old worried about the tax bill on her 6 bedroom Kensington house and a 20 year old fretting about only being able to save £12k a year tax free.
Top work all around. These are not easy case studies to find.

With respect, what would you like Ireland to do that the UK couldn't do when the Russian ship was 'off Scotland'?
Last week the Russian spy ship Yantar, designed for mapping and surveilling undersea cables, was spotted off Scotland, heading for Irish waters. It is one of a number of recent sightings that have raised alarm bells over Ireland’s inability to defend the essential infrastructure off its shores.
