Another ambulance arrives at the detention center. Presuming it could be the one from earlier returning, but either way, a grim reminder of what's happening behind the gates and boarded up windows.

Still in Broadview. At this point it's mostly press waiting around to see if they can spot any National Guard potentially rolling in tonight. Plenty of state troopers still on site.

Castro also says she believes children were taken. A nearby resident who witnessed the raid, but wished not to be named, corroborated he saw children brought out.

"They were bringing babies out naked... that's kidnapping," the neighbor said.

No rooftop agents, though it appears since I’ve been out here they installed a new camera and some fencing over one of the skylight, or what ever those frosted domes on building usually are called.

Salinas was fired in 2020 shortly after he shot and killed 19-year-old Marcellis Stinnette and wounded his girlfriend Tafara Williams at a traffic stop. They were both unarmed.

He'll face trial for second-degree murder, but no timeline has yet been given on when that will be:
Former Waukegan police officer Dante Salinas charged with second-degree murder in 2020 shooting of Marcellis Stinnette
Salinas shot and killed Stinnette and wounded Stinnette's girlfriend, Tafara Williams, on Oct. 20, 2020, during a chase after they'd fled an earlier stop in Waukegan.
