A reminder as we wake up to the news of another mass shooting: One party’s members walk around Congress with AR-15 pins on their lapels. They aren’t there to help solve the gun violence crisis. They are there to help enable it.

we all thought Twitter’s collapse would be swift and sudden like the fall of the Roman Empire but instead it’s been a steady, irreversible decay like the fall of the Roman Empire

we must heed toni morrison’s warning in her 1995 speech on racism and fascism. fascism’s playbook has always been clear: https://www.leeannhunter.com/gender/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/Morrison-article.pdf

Finally someone said it!!!!!
The biggest lie being spread about the war is that it has anything to do with saving the hostages.

The Israeli government is sacrificing the safety of the hostages specifically in order to wage the war.

Any other framing is a dishonest or ignorant way of justifying the war.

It’s been a year since Elon Musk acquired Twitter. Impressively, he hasn’t managed to do a single smart thing with it in that time. Some thoughts on the waking demise of the platform—and why it’s hard to look away from a spectacle of failure:
It Only Took a Year for Elon Musk to Kill Twitter
Elon Musk acquired Twitter for $44 billion a year ago, but he's yet to make a single improvement to it.

I felt this to the core!!!
Please don’t ruin this one for Black and Indigenous communities, y’all.

Intergenerational trauma is tremendously real for us, who are barely a generation out (debatable if we’re even out) of active genocide.
"intergenerational trauma" is definitely going to be the next therapy phrase we'll all regret letting escape into the wild
