Q: "Would more federal agents in Chicago assisting federal law enforcement help deter crime right now?"

Pritzker: "Of course! If you wanna help us catch bad guys, bring the FBI, bring the ATF. We already coordinate with them."

In recent public remarks about deploying the National Guard to Chicago, Donald Trump said:

“I have the right to do ANYTHING I want to do. I’m the president of the United States.”

Not even a King has that right. Certainly no president. Who knew a non-drinker could be so drunk with power?

Dearest Martha,

The National Guard stand solemn watch at the Krispy Kreme tonight. I cannot tell if they defend the people from the donuts, or the donuts from the people. Powdered sugar hangs in the air like cannon smoke. Jensen took a hot coffee to the face, he may never recover.

Yours in glaze,

This is the truth about most independent journalists. I have no problem with the organization Brian Tyler Cohen put together but Taylor Lorenz’s article has some folks thinking we all get paid by foundations. We don’t. She actually gets $8000 a month plus whatever she makes from Substack 👇🏻
I guess we are supposed have rich parents or a spouse and work for free. I work about 80 hours a week. I don’t make $8000 a month. I pay for my own health insurance, retirement fund, I get no sick days, no paid vacation and I can’t get unemployment. I also pay thousands in taxes - 4 times a year

During a phone call, Donald Trump hinted to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he should nominate him for the Nobel Peace Prize, as Pakistan had done. Modi sharply rejected the idea, stating that the ceasefire with Islamabad was achieved without U.S. involvement.

He extorted Zelenskyy for dirt on Biden. He’s extorting Modi for a Nobel nomination. He stole a football player’s medal. He wants things without working for them; the $413 million he inherited from his father was the start of this habit. Donald Trump is a wastrel.

Jay Graber decided in October 2021 to launch Bluesky as a stand-alone social media platform. It has since grown while other so-called Twitter alternatives have shuttered or stagnated. It now has an estimated 38-plus million registered users.

Right. Same thing as 2020 [see below].Through 2 debates and a session on Economics in Chicago during the 2024 campaign I never heard a reporter bring up the cost of the 2020 tariffs & the bailout to farmers WE paid for to cover Trump’s tariff folly. I’m sick of it.

I’m serious. This REALLY infuriates me. @nbcnews.com @cbsnews.com @cnn.com
Do your job. You failed to lift this up in 2024. If farmers are hurting, explain why and who is to blame. And remind Americans that we paid BILLIONS for Trump’s first tariff blunder. It’s so irresponsible to ignore this.

Why Isn't Donald Trump's Declining Health Being Covered by Corporate Media?

Where are the op-eds & news programs calling for Trump's resignation due to his declining health, impaired abilities, & march towards fascism? Oh, yeah, "both sides" corporate journalism.
