It is not only extremely depressing, but also unfathomable that the US has done this towards Ukraine, effectively blackmailing an ally who is desperately defending their freedom and democracy against an unlawful attack by a fascist aggressor.
What an utterly despicable and traitorous behavior.

"If the U.S. military operation is not an armed conflict of any kind, these orders to kill helpless civilians clinging to the wreckage of a vessel our military destroyed would subject everyone from SECDEF down to the individual who pulled the trigger to prosecution under U.S. law for murder."
Here are US military lawyers stating clearly that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth's "kill everybody" orders are either (1) war crimes or (2) murder.

Either way, expect prosecutions in the future.

Just like that. After a week of frantic diplomacy and U.S. threats against Ukraine, Putin rejects ANY agreement.

The only path forward is pressure on Russia to change this stance—sanctions and resumed US military assistance to Ukraine. Otherwise, the last 10 months were a waste.

Russia won’t make any concessions in a so-called peace deal.

Deputy FM Ryabkov claims that all possible concessions were already made by Putin “in Anchorage, Alaska.” Everything else is off the table, they won’t discuss it publicly and will continue pushing to achieve all declared goals.

What is the order for this brigade? Will they open fire

Steve Witkoff helped Russia derail Ukraine’s access to Tomahawk missiles. He tipped off the Kremlin about Zelensky’s U.S. visit, giving Moscow time to arrange a call that convinced Trump to block the deal. Witkoff actively works against Ukraine’s defense, in coordination with Putin’s regime.

The audio leak of Steve Witkoff advising the Russian side what to do, what to say and how to progress is nothing more but collaboration with Moscow, probably even more. It further confirms what I was writing on Sunday when the US Senators were actively rejected this.

This headline in Politico says it all: this is all about Trump's personal gratification and wish to be the star of a big show on the international stage, not about getting a fair or durable agreement.

I can't put into the words the visceral hatred I feel towards the administration in the US. The pain their behaviour is causing to Ukrainians is unforgivable.

Ukrainians have russians terrorising them with missiles & drones. Now the US is terrorising them with russian demands for capitulation.

Shouldn't doing what Pam Bondi is accusing James Comey of doing be a scandal that would make her have to resign? In her case it's is easily proven that she lied to the committee.
