There was a bi partisan Bill in the House "Pay Our Troops 2026" it had bi partisan support but the House Leader, Lil Mike, wouldn't bring it forward. Guess he was too busy getting to the All Paid Resort for the GOP. The Bill was introduced by Rep Jen Kiggans (R) Virginia. Trump Doesn't Care!

NEVER sign a contract where the publisher keeps your rights indefinitely. For short stories, there should be a point when you can sell reprints.
and NEVER sign your movie/TV/etc adaptation rights to a publisher. Those are yours.
