Tax policy on the British left is pure "anti-bedtime left". Bizarre idea that you can have a big social democratic welfare state without everyone contributing properly www.economist.com/britain/2025...

I am always astonished again by left wing people who are absolutly right in seeing every small piece of racial, classist or sexist discrimination, but can't see antisemitism as long as there are no swastikas and gas chambers.

Left wing version: “The Jews are unique among all the peoples of the world in having no right to any state anywhere, under any borders whatsoever, including the one they already have, established by refugees after the Holocaust. But obviously the partition which created India and Pakistan was fine.”

If you need to resort to antisemitism to make your point, you’ve already lost. This is a lesson apparently a lot of people who I otherwise historically have agreed with apparently have never learned. The left has a big antisemitism problem, and there’s very little acknowledgement of it.

Thank you @reuters.com for blowing the whistle on World Central Kitchen's Hamas employees. Shame on everyone who blamed Israel for attacking WCK staff, when in reality it they were terrorists all along. #Hamas #Gaza

Going to the movies by yourself is one of life’s hidden pleasures. Just you and a large popcorn and some sour patch kids and all of your big goblin energy alone in the dark where nobody can see your shame. Priceless.
