There's going to war on faulty intelligence, then there's going to war in absence of intelligence, and then there's this:

Going to war in the face of contrary intelligence

Vice Chair of Senate Intelligence Committee asking one of the most important questions👇
The Intelligence Community said a week ago that Iran had not moved towards a nuclear weapon.

Have they changed their assessment? And if not, what the hell is the U.S. doing ignoring our own intelligence?

Also think about the difference in impact here.

If you make under $13k per year, losing $1000 is DEVASTATING. That’s meals you can’t eat, desperately needed medical procedures you can’t get, school supplies your children can’t afford.

If you make $3+ million per year, $180k is just a third yacht.
Today in “The Big, Beautiful Bill” newsletter —

Yale Budget Lab stacked cuts to SNAP + Medicaid on top of extending the Trump tax cuts.

Result: Major transfer of wealth to the richest taxpayers.

WTF. This is insane.

For so many seniors, there would be no money for food, rent, or prescriptions without their Social Security check. Howard Lutnick says if they complain about missing a check, they're a fraudster.
Trump’s commerce secretary Howard Lutnick says if Social Security skipped a check, his mother-in-law wouldn’t complain—and if you would, it indicates you are probably a fraudster. Insane.

DOGE recommended firing workers at:

-FDA, which oversees Neuralink

-FAA, which oversees SpaceX

-USAID, which probed Starlink

-CFPB, which oversees Tesla's financing arm and a potential payment platform on X.

"Conflict of interest" is a severe understatement.

"You haven't thanked President Trump enough"

- Vance

Think about the unmitigated sycophantic audacity it takes to say that to the leader of a sovereign nation you demanded sign over their war torn country's mineral wealth.

Despite the false claims from Trump and his GOP minions, the truth is clear: FEMA has been there for North Carolina.

The idea of cutting or eliminating FEMA is outrageous. Thanks to FEMA and local governments, North Carolina is on the road to recovery.

This. Make it hard for the Republicans to destroy the country.
Democratic senators will hold the Senate floor all night long in opposition to the nomination of Russ Vought, an organizer of Project 2025, to head the OMB.

THAT’S. NOT. THE. POINT !

The POINT is that CONGRESS appropriates the money. You think it’s being spent on the wrong things or that there is fraud YOU. TAKE. IT. UP. WITH. CONGRESS.

I’m surprised our members of Congress are so calm about being made redundant💁🏻

It has been said before, but it bears repeating: the elderly who’ve worked their entire lives to get $800 a month on Social Security aren’t bankrupting America. It’s tax-evading billionaires like Trump who are bleeding this country dry.

With all the talk about Judge Merchan’s plan to impose a sentence without jail time or fine & with an unconditional discharge on January 10, I’d urge him instead to condition Trump’s discharge on obeying the presidential oath he will take on January 20. That’s a promise we know Trump won’t keep.

An important read.
The president-elect and his team have spent much of November baiting and trolling their opponents while throwing red meat to the MAGA faithful. But Americans shouldn’t fall for it this time.
