The Signal leak is a prime moment for Democrats to get caught trying. Call for resignations or impeachment hearings or both. Be omnipresent in the media demanding and explaining accountability measures. Don’t let this fade away. Treat this the way the GOP treated Hillary’s emails. Make it a thing.

1. Today, the Iowa Legislature shamefully stripped transgender people from the State Civil Rights Act.

It becomes the first state to ever strip any group from a civil rights act.

In the current political and economic atmosphere, sometimes the best thing we can do is to work to help our local communities. In World War I, American households were encouraged to grow “Victory Gardens” to help with the war effort against an external enemy. Today, it may be necessary to use gardening to resist the efforts of our own government to oppress underserved communities, suppress science and exploit the environment, and cater to a greedy oligarchy. For those of us who are privileged enough to have a home and yard for a garden, I hope you’ll join me in the Resistance Garden movement. I’ll be trying to grow extra produce (and move my garden beyond a hobbyist scale) so that i can donate any extra food to local community food banks. If you can grow a little something extra, and also encourage friends and family to get into gardening, we can fight for a little bit of good through self sufficiency and mutual aid, at least for the next four years.

While we hear the front office say that it has done it’s due diligence, we cannot ignore the broader pattern of abusive hires across the NWSL. This decision raises serious concerns about player safety, organizational accountability, and the club’s commitment to fostering a positive and protective environment. We demand greater transparency from Bay FC regarding the hiring process for Abel, as well as clear accountability for those responsible for this decision. We urge the club to hire a more suitable candidate for the position.
