I genuinely love when I'm engaging with a piece of art I don't really like but think is nonetheless good. It always feels like an important opportunity to think more critically about art in general and about my own taste.

One of my favorite parts of queer adulthood is learning how many of us had the experience of clocking queer subtext in assigned school reading only to be told by students and teachers alike that we were off base, then growing up and realizing how fucking CORRECT we were.

Read all 3 Garth Greenwell novels recently, and damn, I am fully Greenwell-pilled. Small Rain is a Mary Poppins bag, fitting so much life into a story so singularly focused. Mitko from WBTY belongs on a list of all-time great fiction characters. Cleanness might actually be a perfect book. Christ.

The most D&D sentence I can say is this: moments after the death of a horny stinky witch named Smelda, I got to be my real-life husband's best man when his halfling PC married a vampire hunter in a lich's living room. I don't know what people think this game is, but it's at least 50% shit like this.
