Kollar på "Förrädarna" (sen på bollen, är nu inne på säsong 2) och det slår mig att 1. många deltagare verkar aldrig ha kört Maffia/Varulv eller liknande "social deduction"-spel förut? HUR??? 2. Mängden engelska svenskar slänger sig med sinsemellan i onödan är rätt pinsam när man ser det på tv.

People might think that because I'm therian and pagan, my tolerance for pseudoscience/woo would be high. It actually isn't. I'm a biologist. I like science, measurable facts and clear communication. Personal beliefs about deities, philosophy etc is fine. But that's different from physical reality.

There are times when you want a group to learn from, about that deep, personal part of your life and share it with others. Whether that is spirituality, lgbtq, whatever. Be part of a community. And there are times when you want to do your own thing, and feel suffocated by community. Back and forth.

Yup. I "awakened" 22 years ago, and joined the therian community (forums such as Werelist) 18 years ago. Commercialisation, the tug-of-war between different new micro labels, too much mainstream attention (especially among kids), infantilisation and instability. It wasn't perfect in the past, but...
Seriously its so odd. I find it harder to make community NOW, when there is arguably more therians who are open. But the very word therian/therianthropy has changed so much in the last 15+ years since I joined the community that I barely relate to most therians I meet now. It blows.

Agreed! I always recommend finding some kind of physical exercise you enjoy to therians with species dysphoria. Helps with controlling spontaneous shifts too ime.
I prefer show dance and group exercises to music, and simple bodyweight exercises. Swimming. Though I've started to run a bit too...

It's the shiftiest shift, feeling like I can run like a fox and doing it so well.
I highly recommend gym time for therians whose theriotype is known for speed/agility.
Tomorrow is pool day AKA swim like a fox day!

I'm in that age where my friends tend to have toddlers. Which is a problem, since:
1. Raising kids is demanding, so they'll have less time to hang out. Especially, difficult without bringing the kids along.
2. Children <10 yo. exhaust me. Give me a headache. Not their fault. Just the way it is.
