Yes, yes, yes! Music is vital to a complete education and gives many students the motivation to show up and be part of their ensemble’s community.
Among the benefits of arts education for children are lower absenteeism and increased engagement in school, but AFT Secretary-Treasurer Fedrick C. Ingram also says music cultivates a sense of community that can shape a culture.
