This is important & necessary. I’d add only that a) It’s clear many of the political & media figures deliberately ignoring these facts are playing with the sort of fire we saw on our streets this summer & b) Laura Kuenssberg’s failure to point this out to Farage was an appalling dereliction of duty.
Some people in recent days have alleged a ‘cover-up’ over the grooming & rape of hundreds of young girls in predominantly northern UK towns, leading to calls for a ‘national’ public inquiry into child sexual exploitation

Like the next liberal, I’m seriously concerned that the Americans voted for a fascist.
I’m also slightly disappointed by the amount of Bluesky anti Trump memes and derogatory references to ‘the other place’. To me there’s a whiff of snobbery about it all. Snobbery got us here in the first place.
