Okay just saw it. That makes sense actually. I'd love to know how much group is paying for cars. I'm gonna have to research that. But thanks again.

Thank you so much!

Wow that’s nuts. How does that happen? Do you happen to have a source for that ? If you don’t no biggie I can look it up later.

How much does this have to do with people purchasing ridiculously expensive cars that they can’t afford?

Wasn’t there a business owner who went on a hunger strike or something?

It's alarming how frequently drivers get off without paying fines.

Private cars are incredibly inefficient at 1.2 people per vehicle and yet Waymo's manage to be even worse at 0.55 people per vehicle

Waymo either remains a niche form of expensive transportation for a couple wealthy people, or SF gets covered in highways to accommodate 10x more vehicles on the road

With all due respect, I don’t believe that’s true.

Fares are necessary in order to keep transit running. You’re making an assumption that poor people are the ones evading fares, and in my experience that doesn’t seem to be the case.
November 24, 2025 at 4:19 PM
What does this have to do with classism and punishing the poor?
November 24, 2025 at 4:05 PM
Of course, there are lots of people who have no access to transit where they live. That’s a trivial thing to say.

But a lot of these silly objections I hear are “what if you had to travel to Fort Lee!”

If I had to travel to Ft Lee once or twice, I’ll just take the bus.

As far as I’m concerned, having to wait 20 minutes for a PATH train is still better than having to spend a fortune on a car. These discussions focus only time and nothing else, like saving money or not having to worry about owning a car.
November 24, 2025 at 3:54 PM
oh well it's just the cost for me. I'd rather save my money. Sometimes I have to take bus somewhere for an appointment and it takes a long time. No biggie for me. I'd rather not have the stress of owning a car.

Normal people use transit all the time that has 15, 20, 30 plus headways all the time. Maybe you mean something else by normal.

And the last headline is particularly interesting. It’s apparently funny when someone drives a car into a Dunkin Donut. Never mind the possible risk of injury or death for the patrons and employees. And never mind the trauma they must endure as a result of these reckless incidents.

Remember this mess? Well, they have found a way to fix it let’s just say…
Make everything smaller! Apart from the fact that this isn’t legible, information about lines that don’t regularly serve this stop has been included, albeit with no reference to the minimal rides that call there each day.
