Jersey City bus advocate and Citibike rider. I’m just a soldier in the fight for better streets and better transit in New Jersey 🏳️‍🌈 #fuckcars American League Champions Toronto Bluejays fan for life. Obsessions: Italian and France.
Another one of those anti-transit threads last night from someone who claims to be pro-transit and needs to tell you why they use their car in 15 posts and this was one of the replies.

I guess people who use transit in Jersey City aren’t normal people.
November 24, 2025 at 3:52 PM
Yeah, turns out even “normal” structures are at risk when there’s little attention paid to reckless driving, and people are unnecessarily driving very powerful vehicles.

Makes you wonder if Dunkin Donuts values the safety of their employees and customers.

People die or are seriously injured all the time in Halton Hills and Halton Region by motor vehicle crashes.

I keep seeing these all over Easton, Pa. What’s so interesting: seeing some people with these signs who were getting deliveries from these dangerous oversized vehicles. Where do these people except to get their packages from? Why aren’t they concerned about emissions from their luxury SUVs

And yet there’s more! Here are the buses under a million.

This does not include private carriers like Transbridge, Academy, CoachUSA and many others than I can’t remember.

*120 runs via Holland Tunnel.
November 22, 2025 at 6:39 PM
Majority of people who commute into NY from NJ do so by bus via the Lincoln Tunnel. Please don’t forget about these people @kim.senate.gov @mikiesherrill.bsky.social

Lincoln Tunnel bus service has a bigger impact than the Raritan Valley line.

Here are the buses with yearly ridership over 1m.
November 22, 2025 at 6:23 PM
Here you go. This includes the entire Jersey City bus network.

6, 9, 80, even the 82 which is a rush hour route, seeing dramatic increases.

And the 85, 86, and 125 seeing declining ridership.
November 22, 2025 at 1:05 PM
Las Vegas, Foley, Ala. That poor Foley employee who had to be airlifted because a “truck drove” through the gym. Those poor Elizabeth employees who have deal with the trauma, seeing a jeep driver crash through their workplace and killed a 71-year-old customer.
November 21, 2025 at 7:40 PM
How is a crash like that even possible at an intersection like this?
November 21, 2025 at 7:21 PM
Good news, we are seeing a dramatic increase in ridership for the 9-Montgomery and the 6-Summit/Ocean.

My suspicions were correct about the 9. I’ve noticed over the past year fuller buses. Maybe that will motivate NJ Transit to run some more buses at some point.
November 21, 2025 at 3:45 PM
Be aware of a diversion on West Side Ave today for the 9, 14, and 80 between Armstrong and Woodlawn. They close a major arterial down at rush hour?! Are they crazy ?

Really bad day for Hamilton. But based on a quick search, everyday is a bad day in Hamilton .
November 21, 2025 at 2:35 AM
Hamilton js a dangerous place to be a pedestrian. People are killed by drivers all the time.
November 21, 2025 at 2:31 AM
You did great!
November 19, 2025 at 12:45 PM
Or how ‘bout this one, City of Bayonne! One of the few crossing over the HBLR tracks and RT-440. If you want to cross Ave E here to get to the overcrossing on 40th St, you have to walk a block north or south. Because the city of Bayonne doesn’t want to inconvenience drivers 🙄
November 18, 2025 at 8:10 PM
Just a reminder how NJ DOT treats pedestrians and transit users who want to access the Lidl and other shops in Bayonne on the other side of RT-440.

Don’t want to inconvenience drivers, but no a problem inconveniencing pedestrians! “Just get a car!”

Thank you to all the volunteers from @bikejc.bsky.social for today’s memorial and freshening up the bike ghost memorials around town. We lost a child to traffic violence this year, and nothing was done about it and nothing has changed since. #WDoR2025

One of the members of @safestreetsjerseycity.org took a photo of this on Merseles and Columbus. How does this even happen?

Omg walking next to the Williamsburg Bridge is wild

NJ Transit is a professional organization

Speaking of connections
November 14, 2025 at 3:31 PM
Should be a fun day to be a bus rider around JSQ. The 6, 83, 88, and 84 (they forgot the 16) are gonna have to navigate around JSW because of construction on Summit.

Here is an example of a bus stop sign in Zug, Zug 😬 Very clear signage. Great bus system btw. You may notice the city is included in the bus stop name. This was something I had noticed in Cologne too.
