Would you be compliant to a bunch of men grabbing you on the street?

Would you be more compliant if they dressed in house clothes but claimed to be law enforcement?

Would you risk trusting that these were *actually* law enforcement? You have one life and there’s a lot of gambling involved here.

I really do think this has to do with people mistaking dominance for power. We don’t have language for power and it makes people think the only power is coercion.
