I link to this excellent piece in my post for tomorrow.
Wrote a piece for @slate.com explaining that states have a long history of prosecuting federal officers when they allegedly use excessive force. Federal officers are only immune from such prosecutions when they act reasonably in carrying out lawful duties.
Minnesota Could Prosecute the ICE Shooter. Trump Can’t Pardon Him.
Shortly after an ICE officer shot and killed a woman in Minneapolis, city leaders began looking into whether the officer had violated state criminal law.

Some news: tomorrow at 9am, Ted Koppel + CBS Sunday Morning will air a two-part story on the devastating surge of full-time workers being pushed into homelessness.

I'll be interviewed along with two families from There Is No Place for Us. It would mean a lot if you'd watch and help spread the word.

It's that time of year. Time to wonder: Why do we change the clocks? This story, originally published by
@us.theconversation.com, centers an Indigenous approach to question why we "fight against our biological presets" to favor productivity when we "need winter to rest and summer to bloom."
Daylight Saving Time Runs Counter to Human Nature – and Nature Itself
An Indigenous approach shows how changing the clocks to “save” daylight hours means losing some of our natural rhythms.

The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

Simply believing that our leaders will do what is right is irresponsible now.

Trusting that everything will work out simply because it always tended work out in the past is a fool's delusion.
