RIP Issac Newton (aka the last alchemist), you would have loved watching the physicists get annoyed because they accidentally turned lead into gold

Physicists at the Large Hadron Collider turned lead into gold – by accident
The ancient dream of turning lead into gold is now a reality – but it’s not quite what the alchemists might have hoped for.

I wrote this on the most consistently terrible, and fatal, idea in centrist politics today. On Fanta, rebadging, and why attempting to win votes from fascists is morally disgusting and politically suicidal.

Séamas O'Reilly: Appeasing the far-right won't placate them — they'll just want the next cruelty
Their concerns are not about society, the economy or public safety, they’re an ever-moving target of fear and hatred that cannot be sated, it has to be challenged.

I don't know what the normal amount is to think about the fact that Zsa Zsa Gabor's last husband paid, at the age of 36, to be legally adopted by Princess Marie-Auguste of Anhault, and that him and Zsa Zsa then adopted ten adult guys for $2 million each so they could claim to be german nobles

cute read on the role of song in early development. music helps us move together. when we sing & dance we release oxytocin which is integral to bonding. perhaps we grow out of these songs as we expand our networks & schoolyard chants & anthems become more important. amp.abc.net.au/article/1027...
