This is an important article about DOGE from @wired.com , but I hope there's a part 2 that focuses on a few important questions:

First, which AI tools are they using, and what's the process for determining that? Quite obviously, this will be a corrupt process designed to pay-off Trump's oligarchs.

RECORD | California and Nevada each surpassed 30% solar in their electricity mix for the first time in 2024, a first for US states 🇺🇸

Batteries were crucial to CA’s success, transferring a significant share of daytime solar to the evening.

When I was a Hill staffer in 2009, a Dem trifecta was trying to pass universal healthcare. In response, Senate GOP released a memo detailing all of the tactics they in the minority could use to delay the effort as much as possible. I'm recirculating that 2009 GOP memo here. That said, those gas projects will take years to come online. The option of new gas-fired generation to meet record load growth “won’t be available at scale until 2030,” [CEO John] Ketchum said, and even then “only in certain pockets of the U.S.”

Wind and solar saved the EU €59 BILLION in fossil fuel imports over the last five years 💶

Without the new 🌪️ and ☀️ added since 2019, the EU would have needed to burn an extra 92 billion cubic metres of fossil gas and 55 million tonnes of coal.
