The title of my next book, the 5th in the John Dies at the End series, has been leaked, by me. It will be called,

'THERE ARE NO GIANT CRABS IN THIS NOVEL: A Novel of Giant Crabs'

There is a free preview chapter in the paperback edition of I'm Starting to Worry About This Black Box of Doom.

Good luck winning any elections without (checks notes) Ezra Klein?
Of course it’s fine to disagree with him, but if Ezra Klein is not welcome in the left/liberal tent, it’s a very small tent.

Good luck winning any elections.

People try to pinpoint exactly when America lost its innocence and I'm pretty sure it was in 2011 when we found out that the Mythbusters hosts couldn't stand each other

Good morning #jokesters! Let's share a joke and a few laughs.

Asked my son what he learned in school today.
He said “Gay men like ynoS. Lesbians favor ahamaY, and transgender people prefer esoB.

I knelt down, put my hand on his shoulder, and said
“Son, those are just backwards stereo types.”

One of the most bonkers things about learning about the Revolutionary War was that people used to actually read 47 page pamphlets with interest and then act on them. The past really is a foreign country

Sometimes I look back at those couple of years when everybody was extremely angry about the ubiquity of "pumpkin spice" products and think maybe that was an overreaction

Probably not the first person to observe this but it's interesting that a lot of people who are like "oh, I misgendered you? boo hoo" will also, if you say about their dog, "he's so cute, can I pet him?" be like "PETUNIA IS A GIRL"

Kinda fucked up, sailor man.

The disappearance of faces in Hollywood is so depressing to me as someone whose life revolves largely around films - I need faces in my films, I need big, weird, old, asymmetrical, beautiful, expressive, uniquely imperfect faces

One thing I learned in the aftermath of 9/11 is that it's not healthy for a society to have a horrific event replayed on every screen over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over for YEARS, to the point that you literally can't avoid it.

Movies portray firefights happening right next to the enemy because they need to get both parties in the same frame. In reality, if rifles couldn't shoot farther than you can see, scopes wouldn't exist as a product. 200 yards with a rifle & scope is nothing for anyone with some practice.

Every story like this makes it incredibly clear the average person has no idea how guns work, despite our country and culture being full of them. Hell, I even remember JFK conspiracists insisting that 80 yards was a near-impossible shot with a rifle. That's nothing!
