I’ve seen enough rom-coms to know that Jeremy Corbyn and Zarah Sultana get married in the end.

Hi. I grew up a Christian and I still am one so I think I can speak with some authority here.

And when I say authority I actually mean this is my own opinion which you can take or leave as you wish - I won't be offended.

My faith doesn't give me any particular insight

Anyway....

🚨BOOM! The Petition calling for a public inquiry into Russian influence on UK politics & democracy has now rocketed past 80,000 signatures! Let’s get it to 100,000 this weekend. If a petition is what it’s going to take let’s get this done!

Cranking up this one for Mani, and not for any of the tossers in this band. I'd forgotten how much this record swings.

I love this story. This is when things are special for the UK and US.
OK - pie discourse - best pie story:

In 2016, we were living in Andover, in the UK. My wife was assigned as an exchange officer at the Army Air Corps base at Middle Wallop (yes, really).*

The US Army has a tradition: senior leaders, in dress uniform, serve junior troops Thanksgiving dinner.

Look. I'm not very bright, and I'm not very clever at politics. While this is good news I'm sure I remember MPs being suspended for voting against the Govt on keeping it earlier this year.
Chancellor Rachel Reeves has confirmed the two-child benefit cap will be lifted.

She told the Commons: “We on this side of the House do not believe that the solution to a broken welfare system is to punish the most vulnerable children” 👏

I love a bit of Ivor Cutler. You need to get hip to his jive, frankly.
"My first introduction to Ivor Cutler was his 1975 album, Velvet Donkey. It sounded like I’d stumbled upon some ancient relic; a pre-historic recording that only a select few had ever been granted the golden opportunity to hear"
