Big diverters slow car traffic & reclaim street space for people.

So far, I haven’t heard satisfactory answers to my questions and I remain very concerned not just about the impacts of removing these diverters, but about the precedent we would set by doing so.

One of the core insights of Strong Towns is that streets are a platform for building community wealth. Real, measurable, financial wealth. This plaza treatment, while not perfect, was a potent source of economic development for the city with very little investment required
