"On Tyranny" is a #1 NYT bestseller again. I wish the moment were different. But I’m glad the book is useful. And grateful for all the kind words about putting the 20 lessons to work.

Three House Republicans. Four Senate Republicans. That's it. That's the math.

Remember: The recipe for economic growth isn’t tax cuts for the rich. It’s investment in our people — in health care, infrastructure and education — to build a strong middle class.

You don't grow the economy through trickle-down nonsense.

Any traders with inside information that Trump was going to walk back his tariffs — some of them, presumably, Trump family members and cronies — just made a fortune.

It all feels like chaos until you look more closely at who is winning.

Please share!!! This is getting ridiculous—they just can’t accept a loss. Please help spread the word to North Carolina. The North Carolina Court of Appeals ruled in a 2-1 decision that over 60,000 votes cast in last year’s closely contested state Supreme Court race must be verified and recounted.

This is what happens when people speak up.

Sen. Booker’s speech was a substantive and moral account of this moment. He did not read the phone book. He did not babble.
For 24 hours @booker.senate.gov laid out a detailed, damning, and critical narrative of truth, history, politics, morality, humanity.

What will you do?

Louis DeJoy may be gone, but Musk and Trump are still gunning to privatize the Postal Service.

That would mean higher postage prices, lower service quality, and the gutting of thousands of good-paying union jobs — all to enrich Wall Street investors.

We cannot let it happen.

If Trump can disappear green card holders for protesting war, he can disappear you.

If he can disappear visa holders for criticizing him, he can disappear you.

If he can disappear asylum seekers for tattoos, he can disappear you.

We must speak out now — before there is no one left to speak out.

This week, Congress overturned a rule that charged Big Oil for methane emissions — which would prevent millions of tons of climate pollution — and rolled back water heater efficiency standards that save consumers an average of $112.

Republicans have once again rewarded their Big Oil friends.
Congress Set to Vote on Repeal of Biden Administration Climate Regulations - Inside Climate News
Two bills scheduled this week would roll back rules to limit methane emissions from oil and gas operations and efficiency standards for water heaters. They would also bar similar rules in the future.

If Republicans make massive cuts to Medicaid, it will impact all aspects of our health care system. Millions of kids will lose coverage, hospital and insurance rates will soar and nursing homes will shut down.

All this in order to give huge tax breaks to billionaires.

NO CUTS TO MEDICAID.

The federal civilian worker payroll totaled $271 billion in 2022.

The annual cost of permanently extending Trump's tax cuts that primarily benefited rich individuals? $400 billion.

Keep this in mind as Trump and DOGE lay off thousands of federal workers.
