hell of a world where wishing ill on someone is condemned more forcefully than actually *doing* ill, to lots of people, on purpose and in public
it appears that @bsky.app have suspended the account of @jessiegender because a trans person saying "I wish ill on JK Rowling" is against the rules, so let me say with my loud cis voice that I too wish ill on all perpetrators of hate speech against trans people

reinstate Jessie, this is ridiculous

Resources to better understand what the SCOTUS decision on Mahmoud v. Taylor actually means. You're going to see a lot of compliance in advance and a lot of quiet censorship, even though that's not what this case or ruling say need to happen.

I am absolutely EXHAUSTED after inservice week, and it took me all week + help from my husband to feel even close to ready for students next week.

Me when I have to go outside for an appointment even though there’s both an air quality alert and a heat advisory
a man in a red shirt is sitting on a couch with his head down .
Alt: a man in a red shirt throws up his hands is distress and then slides down out of his chair in defeat

I have clearly reached the point in summer where no amount of productivity will assuage the feeling that I need to be doing something. I already did my entire to-do list and more! “But why are you sitting still?” asks my brain. #teacherlife

This is journalism at its best. Incredible and essential work.
NEW: On March 15, President Donald Trump’s administration sent more than 230 Venezuelan immigrants to a maximum-security prison in El Salvador.

Last week, the men were released as suddenly as they’d been taken away.

These are their stories.

I can confirm the PBS Passport is a very good deal for $5/month or $2.50/month if you do yearly.

Thousands of hours of top notch content. NOVA is great. The new Ken Burns doc on Leonardo da Vinci is excellent.

We just finished the new season of Miss Scarlet on PBS Passport. Tons and tons of documentaries and all sorts of scripted fare & news programming in there. It’s an excellent option IMO and it’s got a lot of kids programs too.
btw did you know you can subscribe to PBS for only like $5/mo or a $60 one-time for a year donation, and get access to their Passport streaming service? They mail you a little live programming guide and everything, too. The 40-something seasons of NOVA alone are worth it.
Donate to your local PBS/NPR stations. It's up to us now.

Y'all underestimate the ability of my Autism having me watch things over and over again regularly 😉 So many movies could be used here!
