Its been a tough week, folks. Many small victories, many larger defeats. Honestly though, kind of proud of myself for surviving this long. CHRIST. What a book!! I grew up with a maternal narcissist too but by god did Jennette's "mother" put mine to shame! (I mean, hers did have cancer whereas mine only pretended to...another story for another day 😅) This healed me in places therapy couldn't reach. Thank you, Jennette 🖤

Sorry, I don't have any photos to share, but I recommend the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh for a day out. On @birdsoftheworld.bsky.social merlin app I caught a European Siskin, Bullfinch, Long tailed tits, greenfinch and saw various tits picking nectar out of the hydrangeas 😍 it's free too!

@derbyshirebirds.bsky.social just FYI in case anybody wants to check it out, I saw a grasshopper warbler in the brush through the farmlands in Stanton (burton area, past Manor Road), it was trilling for minutes on end! Also baby pheasants and the odd black cap. Worth a visit if you have the means!
