AI in education is being treated as an unbelievable, better-than-Covid opportunity for profitmaking by the exploitative, predatory, extractive edtech industry

We’ve gone absolutely too far for saying the emission spouting, city ruining, leading cause of accidental death before age 40 should be eliminated! People genuinely don’t believe me when I say ‘look I don’t want to drive anywhere anymore.’

The social-interpersonal ethics of American businesses is such that executives are treated like mini kings, which very much has an “elites kicked in the head by a mule”/“dictator’s dilemma” effect on their sense-making and constructed knowledge, and how people just carry out their insane decisions.

Yes, that’s an existing problem, but it doesn’t mean it will always operate that way. And it doesn’t seem that they’re planning to introduce those same stipulations given they use the term “cultural workers” and explicitly call out people who don’t get captured under the term working artist.

I think your overall point on everybody needing housing is correct, but want to point out that subsidized artist housing means that people who aren’t independently wealthy can afford to be professional artists.
