The crumbling of Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter must be arrested. Letting such an important part of our past and present heritage become an eyesore is a tragic symbol of this region’s lack of ambition.

The SDLP’s is putting this problem, and solutions, on Stormont’s agenda.

A big part of the challenge is the capital needed to renovate Belfast’s aging water infrastructure which is crumbling under the weight of rapid expansion.
The attempt to introduce water charges in NI was specifically to raise money to fix Belfast.
#Derry wasn’t on the agenda. It has to be now.
