Beau Swan single-handedly teaching me how to draw men is so funny. Since before him, it was always a crap-shoot every time I drew male characters. And even though I'm better now, sometimes I'm reminded that I still have a lot to learn. Like when I accidentally drew him as 1996 Skeet Ulrich just now.

I’ve sometimes fallen into the trap of thinking that complementing a creative person for their work is less sophisticated or desired than discussion or debate about it but very often the best thing you can say to them is hell yeah and that doesn’t make you dumb it just makes you nice

if you're one person making a comic by yourself, don't treat yourself like you should function on the same level as comics that have multiple people working on them. your backgrounds can be squiggles and colors.
