Why did Trump describe the shooting of Charlie Kirk as a dark moment for America? Whenever the shooter is right wing they are airily dismissed as just mentally ill people. Why is this one different?

Angela Rayner accidentally pays less tax than she should have, resigns, and the media gives her hell.

Nigel Farage deliberately pays less tax than he should have, and the media gives him a free pass.

That, right there, is the problem.

Sounds pretty good to me.
Norway is a Socialist Country

It has the largest Government surplus in the world at £2tn with a population of only 5.5m. The UK has a debt of £3tn

It is the happiest country in world, has the best railways in Europe and taxes all fossil fuels at 78%

If you'd rather we banned supplying Israel with weapons instead of banning Palestine Action.

Spread the message, and prove we do.

We now have a Labour government, yet this is still true. Why?
England has the only privatised Water in Europe, the most water pollution, and the most expensive water.

The UK has the only fully privatised energy, and the most expensive.

England has privatised rail, the slowest, least reliable and of course the most expensive in Europe.

The defence used by the Sycamore Gap accused is so painfully thin, that I am genuinely surprised the verdict has taken this long. This pair would have lost a battle of wits with the tree.

I get confused - I know either Gove or Trump is very keen indeed on coke - which one is it?

I’ve said this before & ill say it again:

The people in power NEVER give a shit about the protesters…

Until they’re being strung up in the public square - literally or figuratively.

Preferably both, in this case.

Here's hoping he never knows another day that isn't plagued with insecurity and existential dread at the knowledge that no matter how rich and powerful he gets, people don't like him and there's nothing he can do about it.

Quite right. MP's make the rules for their own expenses, and then all trot contentedly to the trough. It's outrageous.
The average MP is claiming more than £40,000 in personal benefits, including for ridiculous things like new phones, electricity, heating and food.

Which everyone has to purchase.

Why don't we talk about this benefit fraud?

Just been using DeepSeek; it knocks every other free LLM into a cocked hat. Jaw dropping. It knows stuff that the others don't (Richmal Crompton never met Anthony Burgess), and can mimic and copy effortlessly, whilst also being a swift and accomplished coder. This is what I hoped LLMs would do.

NEVER FORGET.

We have the most expensive energy in Europe
BECAUSE THE TORIES SOLD IT.

We have the most expensive rail fares in Europe
BECAUSE THE TORIES SOLD IT.

We have the dirtiest rivers in Europe
BECAUSE THE TORIES SOLD THE WATER COMPANIES.

NEVER FORGET OR FORGIVE.

New petition: Tax banks to recoup the £23bn they lost taxpayers in the banking crisis
To recoup the outstanding/lost £23bn from the financial/banking sector, following the bailout during the financial crisis. We think this should be recouped through emergency taxation on banks, and that this could be used to fill what has been described as £22bn black hole in public finances.

Petition: Apply for the UK to join the European Union as a full member as soon as possible
I believe joining the EU would boost the economy, increase global influence, improve collaboration and provide stability & freedom. I believe that Brexit hasn't brought any tangible benefit and there…

This is such a good idea, especially where power cuts are frequent.
Not the only place where renewables are having an effect by providing micro- environments that help promote growth

In 1970 the UK and Norway were roughly equal, almost no debt, and owned all their Public Services.

Now the UK owns nothing and has £3tn of debt.

While Norway still owns everything and has the equivilant per person of £10tn.

That's how privatisation 'works'.

Is this an example of the two tiered justice system that Reform bleat about? Haven't heard them mention it. I'd've thought that corrupt venal benefits scroungers would appal the right wingers; seems it doesn't appal them if said scroungers are rich farmers (please excuse the tautology).
Scumbag farmers in tractors decided to block the A14 and A5 today with a 'go slow protest'.

There was no request for this, they did it illegally.

I hope the Police will be seizing their tractors and locking them up for 4-5 years just like Just Stop Oil.
