Support Starbucks workers! I often visit Starbucks while traveling, and I’m traveling a lot this month, but it turns out there are lots of options for airport coffee that don’t require crossing a picket line.
As of this morning, Starbucks workers across the country are officially ON STRIKE. And we're prepared for this to become the biggest and longest ULP strike in Starbucks history.

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

i'm convinced if we ever tried to touch the rail of meat politics in America (something that's going to eventually need to happen in order to reduce CO2 emissions), it would lead to a huge right-wing shock
remembering the time a random catholic priest got mad at me about a hypothetical about the government restricting meat production on the other site

meat politics is going to be insane for the next Dem administration which takes climate change seriously, imo

Firefly: “You can’t take the sky from me”

Starlink: hold my beer…
this year alone Starlink has used 100 SpaceX missions to launch satellites and there now nearly 9000 in orbit. They have filed paperwork to launch 30,000. This is happening with little or no public discussion about the impact on the sky that belongs to all of us.

I am not a "tech critic". I am an antifascist, a feminist, an anticapitalist, an engineer. My criticism of tech flows from my politics and values. Not from a desire to save or destroy tech. Tech is an expression of power and that's what the whole conversation is about.

no one will ever be able to go to Mars because all the shitty Starlink satellites are in the way
Richest man on the planet owns two-thirds of the satellites is the beginning of a not happy movie
Elon Musk now owns two thirds of satellites as 10,000th Starlink launches

People misunderstand Martin Luther King Jr. and Gandhi. They didn’t want peaceful protests. They wanted violent protests, where the violence was exclusively instigated by the other side, in order to create a movement of sympathy from the passive populous. Civil, peaceful protests don’t bring change.

Tech startup idea: instead of starting your car with your key, you get in, turn on the display panel, enter your password, get your phone out, open the authenticator app, enter your pin, enter the timed passcode, then open the start menu, then helpdesk, then "request engine start", then submit a tic
