ICYMI we were allowed inside the police line to walk the Hollywood Center Motel site after the fire and demo of the original 1905 house. A lot survives and we stand with Hollywood Heritage in their landmarking efforts!

Dec 31, 1953: The beloved Good Fellows Grotto in downtown Los Angeles closed on New Year’s Eve. At the time, the eatery was considered the city's oldest restaurant, tho its menu claimed it was the oldest in SoCal.

LA County buried 2,308 unclaimed Angelenos last week — nearly 500 more than the year before.
