So delighted that Green Wedmore, a community based climate and nature action group, has been awarded the King’s Award for Voluntary Service. Since it was established in 2006, the group has made a big difference, developing everyday ways to reduce our environmental impact and restore nature locally.

Reports suggest Rachel Reeves is considering a pay per mile tax on electric vehicles in the budget.

Pay per mile will be needed, but it’s crucial the government doesn't undermine growing EV sales by introducing new taxation too soon.

No10 spokesman not prepared to criticise anything about Farage speech today.

Not his description of "invasion", not his prediction that the UK on brink of civil war, not plans to pay the Taliban or Iran to take back migrants, or indeed to rule out doing so themselves.

I enjoyed visiting RHS Chelsea Flower Show, exploring stunning gardens & discussing RHS's transition away from peat. Lack of govt action creates uncertainty, harming peatlands which are vital for climate & flooding defence. My Bill banning peat sales by the end of 2025 has its 2nd reading on 4 July.
