Funny how little has changed in terms of the grievance-bait.

"Pious divines and tender-hearted poetesses" is 18th century speak for virtue signalers and snowflakes.
when the abolitionist movement was gaining steam in Britain in the late 1780s, one of the pro-slavery lobby’s very first responses was trying to change the word “slave” to “assistant planters”.

This great PBS video is about people moving to the Sun Belt despite heat and floods. There's also been an increase in moves to place at risk from wildfires: www.pnas.org/doi/10.1073/...

I can't claim to be an expert on what works for communication. Just every time I give a public talk I inevitably get questions about abrupt runaway climate tipping points that (thankfully) are not really a thing.

So proud of the small role @runforsomething.bsky.social played in Emma’s campaign. Her leadership matters.
Nearly two years ago, I stood at the KY State Capitol, rallying in opposition to SB150–the KY GOP’s draconian anti-trans law which banned gender affirming care for minors in KY.

Today, I’ll be outside SCOTUS, as oral arguments are heard regarding the constitutionality of laws like SB150.

Topics covered include road pricing, parking reform, and transit system integration. For each one, USDOT summarizes research findings and suggests federal funding opportunities.

Fianna Fáil - the party in the advert - have utterly failed to act on the Climate Emergency and are now risking €8bn in annual fines for taxpayers until we're compliant with our GHG emission cuts
