Soon, I hope. But seemingly, sadly, 8 senators are deaf to the prevailing sentiment.
Voters want a Democratic Party that fights back against the forces that have rigged the system and made their lives more difficult.
A party that comforts the afflicted and afflicts the comfortable —not a party that buckles and capitulates.
When will party leadership learn this lesson?

Good for her! Unlike the crappy 8 senators, she can “read the room”.
This is really good to see: Miki Sherrill just put out a statement sharply criticizing the Senate Dems' pending cave in the government shutdown, ripping it as "malpractice" and a betrayal of the people who are "counting on us to fight for them." Sherrill knows what drove her victory. Wake up, Dems.

Me too - furious with the sell out 8 Democratic senators who (to quote Kinzinger) grabbed defeat out of the jaws of victory! Disgraceful!
I was really furious with Democrats last night.
I’m still furious this morning.
I also did a mission check and reminded myself that this is the set of circumstances in which I currently dwell and I can’t change that, so I will focus on what I can help with.

The most dangerous people you can be spending time around at this point, are those who say, "I'll never quit fighting," but then, the moment something "bad" happens...instantly step into, "OMG. We're f*cked. It's all over." These people are like poison to your mind and emotions. Stay away.

Bad deal? Shockingly bad! A sell out. A capitulation. A disgrace!
This is a bad deal, and the old way of doing things is clearly not working.

Does not look promising for our planet.

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.
We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.
We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

Bad move Sen Shaheen.
Shaheen: "We've heard from a number of our colleagues on the other side of the aisle that they're willing to come to the table, they're willing to work with us once the govt is open to get this done. We've heard the same thing from the White House. So now we'll see if they're really gonna work w/us"
