It i naive in the extreme to think Lando was trying to protect Oscar from LeClerc. The constructors championship was done. It is only the drivers championship at stake now. It was beneficial to Lando to have LeClerc pressure Oscar. It is absurd to think he would not have wanted otherwise. #f1

Can’t wait for McLaren’s strategy when Oscar team stuffs up a pit stop. They will have to tell Lando to slow down to compensate. You know that’s fair.

The Aukus deal was a crock the day Morrison announced it. The fact that it only took the ALP only 18 hours to endorse it was proof enough that their support was purely political and nothing to do with defence (or the economy). It will go down in OZ history as our worst decision ever. #auspol

Interesting fact. After race 1, Lando was 23 points clear of Oscar. After only 4 more races, Oscar was 10 points ahead of Lando, a 33 point swing in just 4 races (no dnf’s). There are 9 races left so anyone who thinks that Lando can’t catch Oscar is deluded. (Go Oscar).

Oscar’s main focus now will be no dnf’s. He will need to avoid being anywhere near Antonelli, Lawson, and Stroll for the rest of the year. Should not be too difficult.
