This is what is happening.
We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

When men oppress women because they are women it's just a day ending in "y."
Tim Cook, the head of Apple, is having a nice dinner with MBS, who regularly orders executions, including for tweets.

Apple hosts "a Saudi app that allows men to track the movement of their wives and daughters. In 2019, Mr. Cook said he would investigate the app, but it is still available today."

At the same time the NY Times was hyping Hillary Clinton's emails, it had a reporter with emails from Jeffrey Epstein that were highly damaging to Trump.

The more NYT apologists try to minimize this the clearer it becomes that they don't understand why much of the public doesn't trust legacy media.

Every state w a blue trifecta should immediately pass a state-level ACA. We did it in MA, it was the model for Obamacare. In my dreams, all the states that formed public health collabs could create ACA-style joint pools, but that will prob inspire a fight over the interstate compact clause.

On the one hand, if they don't feel welcome in polite society, good job, everyone.

On the other hand, if they are now beyond the reach of protest and are in a situation that protects them as they incite violence in the cities they used to live in, not great, Bob.
And actually astonishing when you think about it: The Trump administration's top officials are choosing to separate themselves from the public—more to the point: separate themselves from any visible protest—and live on military bases.

The Death of Competition in American Elections
A vast majority of 2024 races for Congress and state legislatures were decided by low-turnout or meaningless primaries. The trend is making politics more polarized and eroding public trust.
