I have seen some of the worst architectural decisions made from following best practices. Best practices are meant as guidelines. If you cling to them tightly for security, avoiding solutions which may be more practical, you will end up with a codebase which is a pain to work with and maintain.

Tough to breath. Anxiety, rushing thoughts are underway, taxing my will and strength. Fear closes, folds, frusterates, flattens, fuels more fear. It feeds from my love, willpower, dreams. It takes and takes leaving nothing more than a ghost. Broken and shattered, empty and exhausted.

I fasted this week for 108 hours. It was the longest I have ever fasted and a fun experiment. Learned a lot from it, and was great for my physical and mental health. 😁

I have covered presidential politics for 40 years. This was the most juvenile display by a President and Vice President I have ever seen. Other presidents treated their enemies with more respect. This is a low point and a dark day for the US. Totally embarrassing.

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation.
I can’t imagine someone not outgrowing that, but apparently it happens quite a lot!
